Les oiseaux de passage. Belgium, France 2015. Director: Olivier Ringer. 84 min. Language: French. Subtitles: Swedish. Recommended for Swedish school classes 2–5.
Cathy thinks it’s not really much fun being having her birthday on February 29th. Especially not when she gets given a bird’s egg by her dad. When the egg hatches and a duckling climbs out, the first person it sees is Cathy’s friend Margaux. The duckling assumes that Margaux is its mother and will only follow her, but Margaux’ parents refuse to let her keep it. Margaux is confined to a wheelchair because of a muscular disorder and is about to be admitted to hospital for treatment. Cathy and Margaux run away in order to save the duckling. JJ

q&a
JJ
