FIRST GLIMPSE OF BUFF 2020 – DATES, PLACES, SEMINARS
For us, the time flies and shows no signs of slowing down before the festival. Luckily – we have come a long way. We now want to present the outlines of what will be BUFF 2020, seven days of film fest with lots of rebellious experiences.
BUFF Malmö Film Festival 2020, March 21–27, Malmö
Opening Ceremony
BUFF Malmö Film Festival #37 opens Saturday 21/3 at 3.00 p.m. at Cinema Royal.
Family Weekend
The festival week is being kicked off with a family weekend with screenings and workshops, Saturday 21/3–Sunday 22/3.
Day-time screenings
Screenings during daytime are taking place Monday 23/3–Friday 27/3.
Evening screenings
On Monday 23/3–Thursday 26/3 afternoon and evening, we are inviting everyone with an interest in film to special screenings, discussions at festivities.
SEMINARS: FILM AND MEDIA LITERACY
Film in School-day
A full day with inspiration from film literacy, Tuesday 24/3.
SEMINARS: BUFF INDUSTRY DAYS Wednesday-Thursday 25/3-26/3
Work in progress
Presentation of upcoming films for children and young people, held Wednesday night 25/3.
NEW: Reaching the young audience
Conference in collaboration with ECFA focused on the media consumption of young people aged 12-18. What do they want? What do they need? And how do we reach them with great films?
The conference will take place from lunchtime Wednesday 25/3– lunchtime Thursday 26/3.
More seminars will be released ahead of the festival.
AWARD CEREMONY
The award ceremony with dinner till take place Thursday 26/3 at Malmö City Hall.
