BUFF Malmö Film Festival is looking for people who can help select the world’s best children’s and youth films for the festival in 2026.

BUFF has two film groups: one that watches feature films and one that watches short films. We are mainly looking for new people for the short film group.

The work is voluntary and is mainly done remotely, by watching films at home and writing your reviews. We will have preliminary four meetings where we discuss the films we have seen, as well as some meetings where we watch films together.

Everyone who contributes to our film selection process will receive free accreditation to BUFF in March, with the opportunity to take part in the entire festival including mingling and other festivities.

Qualifications:
Film interest. Ability to formulate thoughts and opinions about films you have seen. Ability to assess which films are suitable for children and young people. An openness to different types of films and ways of telling a story. You need to be able to set aside time to watch 2-3 feature films or 10-12 short films per week during the period September-December.

Notify your interest:
Interested? Send an e-mail to daniel@buff.se no later than August 20. If you have not been involved in BUFF’s selection work before, we would like you to tell us briefly about yourself, your background and how you can contribute.
