Daniel Bagnold is an introverted teenager who likes heavy metal. When his holiday plans are changed, Daniel has to spend the summer with his mother, who is a librarian. Daniel applies for jobs and dreams of playing in a band, while his mother goes on dates with Daniel’s teacher and tries her best to get her son to stand on his own two feet.
