Förortsungar is the tale of Amina who came to Sweden three years ago with her uncle. Amina hasn’t yet been granted permission to stay so when her uncle dies, everything is turned on its head. Obviously inspired by the classic film Rännstensungar, the director duo, Ylva Gustavsson and Catti Edfeldt, have put together a warm and engaging adventure film to a rap beat.
