It is the summer of 1976 and 13-year old Gus is helping his father on the farm, where the animals are dying in the extreme heat. One day, a friend of Gus’ mother shows up and seduces the whole family. Soon it isn’t just the farm but the whole family that is disintegrating before Gus’ eyes. He is forced to quickly leave the innocence of childhood behind him.
