USA . Feature film. 1983. 94. Director: Penelope Spheeris.
Age rec. 15+

Penelope Spheeris follows up her punk documentary The Decline of Western Civilization with a lovely film about exclusion and community, filmed in the same settings. Youngsters, bored of their disengaged parents, occupy a house in a Los Angeles suburb which is marked for demolition. They end up in quarrels with narrow-minded house owners. The future bassist for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Flea, stars in one of the roles acted by real punks.
