Eleven-year old Xiaolie loves the sea. He lives with his uncle, who runs a restaurant. One day his uncle is hit by a truck and is taken to hospital. As a witness to the accident, Xiaojie is pressured to give false evidence to the police. He faces a dilemma: should he tell the truth or betray those closest to him?
