Nafisa lives with her grandmother Al-Sit, a legendary figure who subdued the English and rules among the cotton fields. When a foreign businessman comes to the village, the villagers see a chance for change, and so does Nafisa. A fascinating film about tradition, human rights, politics, and family – beautifully framed by the Sudanese countryside.
