Welcome to Malm\u00f6<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Malm\u00f6 is Sweden\u2019s third largest city with a young population of 310 000 inhabitants descending from 170 countries.<\/p>\n

In Malm\u00f6 you may experience the alternative borough M\u00f6llev\u00e5ngen with, pubs, bars and cultural scenes, the beach at Ribersborg with the beautiful Kallbadhuset (a bath built in 1898, where you may enjoy saltwater swimming as well as a coffee), the western harbor where you find Turning torso, the highest residential building in Europe and a nice boardwalk by the waterfront and the outdoor pubs and restaurants at Lilla Torg and shopping for everyone.<\/p>\n

In Malm\u00f6 you find a rich cultural life within all art forms \u2013 a dynamic free cultural scene within theatre, dance, music, art, comics etc. and also institutions such as Malm\u00f6 Opera, Malm\u00f6 Konsthall (Art center) Malm\u00f6 Mus\u00e9er ( the city museum) Stadsbiblioteket (City Library). The city also arranges a lot of free culture events for the population through Sommarscen Malm\u00f6 (free culture events throughout the city) and the city\u2019s festival Malm\u00f6festivalen<\/p>\n

There are a number of organizations working within the film area in Malm\u00f6 for example Filmcentrum Syd. Every year around 10 film festivals are arranged: the biggest ones being: BUFF the children and young people film festival,\u00a0 Nordisk Panorama Nordic shorts & Doc film festival, MAFF Malm\u00f6 Arab Film festival and. For those who wish to focus on documentary film there is Doc Lounge.<\/p>\n

In 2015, two art house cinemas were established in Malm\u00f6: Cinema Spegeln at Stortorget and the new cinema Panora in M\u00f6llev\u00e5ngen. They are\u00a0run by Folkets Bio Malm\u00f6 and have a special focus on film for children and young people \u2013 in a special concept called Juniora.<\/p>\n

The city of Malm\u00f6 is currently investing to develop the area of film & TV production, tourism and more.<\/p>\n
